American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and active Epic proficiency.

CVICU unit within a 733-bed short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center, and teaching facility
-
Patient ratios of 1:2–3 in a cardiovascular ICU setting
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Every other weekend required
-
Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs, including between like units or a sister campus
-
No on-call requirements

Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required

Epic EMR proficiency required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

Pre-start orientation modules required (approximately 4–10 hours)

RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract

Only 1 holiday accommodation can be approved per contract

First-time travelers may be considered depending on years of CVICU experience, at the manager's discretion

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
Travelers on night shift may extend up to two contracts, after which they must be away for at least 6 months before returning
