Join our dynamic healthcare team as a CT Technologist, where your expertise in advanced imaging techniques will play a vital role in patient diagnosis and care. In this energetic role, you will operate sophisticated radiologic imaging equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients’ bodies, supporting physicians in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your proficiency in a variety of imaging modalities, including CT scans, PET scans, and fluoroscopy, will contribute to a high-quality, patient-centered environment. Duties
- Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners and related radiologic imaging equipment with precision and care to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Perform specialized imaging procedures such as PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine studies.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety procedures and implement radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Assist in emergency situations by providing urgent care imaging services in trauma centers or emergency rooms with Level I or Level II trauma experience.
- Maintain clear communication with patients to explain procedures, ensure comfort, and uphold excellent patient care standards throughout the imaging process.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine, radiology, and interventional radiology specialists for diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning.
- Keep detailed records of all procedures performed, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and hospital policies.
Experience
- Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment such as X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT scanners, PET scanners, and nuclear medicine devices.
- Prior work in urgent care settings or emergency rooms is highly desirable; experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles necessary for accurate imaging and interpretation support.
- Familiarity with implementing radiation safety procedures and aseptic techniques during interventional radiology procedures.
- Experience performing advanced imaging modalities including mammography and DEXA scans; certification in these areas is preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments requiring diagnostic evaluation under pressure while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Strong understanding of medical equipment operation combined with excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction.
