We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Aftercare Teacher from 1:00pm-6:00pm. Responsibilities.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages social-emotional growth and positive behavior management.
- Support children's developmental milestones through individualized activities focused on childhood development and early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom routines effectively, ensuring smooth transitions between activities and maintaining a structured learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs.
- Incorporate classroom management techniques to promote respectful interactions and foster a sense of community among students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities and participate in ongoing professional development related to childcare, toddler care, and preschool experience.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, with knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that supports early childhood education goals.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to create a positive classroom environment.
- Experience with classroom management techniques and lesson planning tailored for preschool learners.
