Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning by preparing components for daily specials and seasonal offerings
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Cook a variety of menu items with efficiency and attention to detail
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Serve food promptly and courteously to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food industry settings
- Excellent knife skills and meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving enhances your versatility
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
