Role Description The Counter Agent role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Hertz location in Fort Smith, AR. The Counter Agent greets customers, assists with rental reservations, and explains rental terms, insurance options, and vehicle features in a clear and professional manner. This role processes contracts, payments, and documentation accurately, while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The Counter Agent responds to customer inquiries, resolves issues, and collaborates with team members to maintain smooth operations at the rental counter. The Counter Agent also is to be cross trained in the detailing of vehicles for it is to ensure the quality of a healthy car lot.
Qualifications
- Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers and handle inquiries or concerns calmly and effectively.
- Sales and upselling abilities, with comfort presenting rental options, and additional services
- Basic computer and administrative skills, such as using reservation systems, processing payments, and managing documentation with attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills, including the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and coordinate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Fort Smith, AR, including standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks related to counter operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in customer-facing roles (e.g., retail, hospitality, or travel) is preferred.
- Reliable work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, in accordance with company and local requirements.
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
