Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
- Handle laundry duties efficiently by sorting, washing, folding, and storing linens and towels according to hotel standards.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment for floor care, including carpet cleaning and polishing hard floors to preserve their appearance.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold safety standards.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to industrial cleaning and janitorial practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure availability for daily operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hospitality or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
- Previous hotel experience is highly desirable for understanding guest service expectations.
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and procedures that enhance guest satisfaction.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
