Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and determine their automotive parts needs through active listening and effective communication.
- Assist customers in selecting the correct parts and accessories by utilizing automotive vehicle systems knowledge on a computer.
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash and credit payments responsibly.
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to order parts efficiently, track deliveries, and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Provide technical advice on automotive repair and maintenance procedures
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent service, follow-up communication, and understanding their automotive needs for future sales opportunities.
Skills
- Deep knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle systems combined with mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Proven experience in retail sales environments with a focus on automotive or dealership settings.
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, stock levels, and order fulfillment efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus) to connect with diverse customers.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- Effective negotiation skills to secure favorable deals with suppliers while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Customer service excellence with a friendly phone etiquette approach for client communication both in person and remotely.
- Ability to handle cashiering duties including cash handling, retail math calculations, and maintaining accurate transaction records.
