A well-established and growing home healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Patient Services to lead the clinical operations of a licensed home healthcare agency. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader with strong clinical knowledge, home health experience, and the ability to build and support high-performing teams.
Position Summary:
The Director of Patient Services is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of the agency, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. This position partners closely with leadership to support operational excellence, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and continued agency growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily clinical operations of a licensed home healthcare agency.
- Lead, mentor, hire, train, and supervise nursing and clinical staff.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate patient care.
- Monitor clinical performance and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards.
- Conduct clinical supervision, competency evaluations, and home visits as needed.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage staffing levels to ensure appropriate patient coverage and 24/7 clinical support.
- Participate in performance improvement, incident review, and regulatory readiness activities.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 2–4 years of direct patient care experience, preferably in home health or acute care.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience within a home health or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal home health regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
