Entry-Level Line Cook – Small Bar & Grill
We’re looking for a Entry-Level Line Cook to handle the kitchen independently during their shift at our small bar & grill. Previous cooking or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required—we’re willing to train the right person!
The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, dependable, organized, and eager to learn. You should be comfortable working on your own, making good decisions, and taking pride in your work.
Physical Capability: Standing 5+ hours, heat tolerance, repetitive motions
Work Stations: Grill, Sauté, Cold line, Fryer and Prep!
Shifts: AM 11:30am - 4pm*, PM 4am - 8pm* (End times can vary)
What you’ll learn and be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items to our recipes/kitchens standards
- Managing the kitchen independently throughout the shift
- Learning different cooking methods and kitchen techniques
- Staying organized and keeping up with orders during busy periods
- Completing food prep, portioning, and proper food storage
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Following food safety and proper food handling procedures
- Monitoring inventory and communicating when supplies are running low
The right person should be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working independently without constant supervision
- Clean, organized and able to manage their time well
- Able to stay calm and productive during busy and slow periods
- Willing to learn and follow recipes and procedures
- Friendly and professional with customers and staff
- Available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed
