Noble Oral Surgery and Dental Implants is a new, patient-centered oral surgery practice committed to delivering exceptional care to the Philadelphia community. Led by Dr. Alexander Geiger, our practice specializes in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, facial trauma, and reconstructive surgery. We are dedicated to creating a supportive, professional environment for both our team and our patients.
Our practice is growing and we are looking for an experienced Front Desk Oral Surgery Receptionist to work in our Jenkintown location. This is an immediate, full-time position. No travel, weekends or nights!
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST
- Checks in and greets patients in a pleasant, professional manner.
- Check out patients after consults, set’s up surgical appointment, and scan necessary documents in EHR
- Verifies and confirms patient’s appointment for upcoming surgery
- Verifies insurance and eligibility as needed.
- Verifies and updates patient demographic information as needed in the computer at each visit
- Creates financial treatment plans and reviews with parent or guardian
- Collects insurance co-payments, non-covered services and outstanding balances at time of service
- Books and reschedules patient appointments accordingly
- Maintains orderly, efficient and timely flow of patients in a fast pace office
- Answers patient inquiries in a pleasing, professional manner
- Answers telephones, transferring calls and taking messages as needed and delivering to appropriate staff
- Enters charges for procedures based on treatment and submit insurance claims.
- Records information on the ledgers and deposits accurately and neatly
- Prepares for and reports at meetings as required
- Maintains front desk supplies, and notifies management when low
- Maintains strict confidentiality; and treats all staff, patients and visitors with respect
- Develops and maintains a thorough working knowledge of computer systems
- Performs other related work as required
Experience
- Preferred oral surgery experience 1-2 years; will train the right candidate with front desk dental experience
- Preferred but not mandatory experience with Dentrix software
Skills
- Skill in identifying and resolving problems and able to multitask
- Ability to exercise a degree of initiative and judgment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, coworkers and the public
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Proficiency in the operation of a computer and other office equipment
Schedule
Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am - 2:00pm
