Job Summary
The Benefit Coordinator will be responsible for achieving goals and improving VivaMas Medical Centers enrollment growth objectives which includes enrollment and eligibility, including HMO Medicare, Medicaid, and the marketplace insurances. Help guide patients through the insurance process and represent VivaMas’ Health services at our medical centers.
Job Responsibilities

Responsible for professionally representing VivaMas Health in our medical centers; provides center tours.

MUST be expert at VivaMas services and identify any prospects/member's needs.

Collaborates with the community outreach Team on center and community activities events (as needed).

Collaborates and maintains a healthy relationship with Health plans Agents and Brokers groups.

Responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment goals and growth targets, as established by management.

Performs Insurance Verification of benefit coverage on all of patient's insurance plans for each service being provided.

Delivers presentations, attends meetings, and distributes educational materials to both members and potential members.

Assists with enrollment incoming calls and assist future members or current members with health access related questions.

Maintains lines of communication and follow up with current members to assure there is no loss of benefit coverage.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Successful experience in a service industry is strongly preferred.

Successful customer care sales experience is a plus.

Experience with Community Relations.

Experience working with seniors or Medicare eligible individuals
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiency

Knowledge of Medicare and Medicare Advantage programs preferred.

Proficiency with computer and web-based applications.

Fluent written and oral English knowledge; bilingual (Spanish or Creole) is a plus.

Strong verbal communication skills including active listening.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Word, Excel PowerPoint).
Physical Requirements/Working Environment

Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.

Frequent use of office equipment including fax, scanners, and telephones.

Fast-paced environment requiring task prioritization and timely follow-up.

Primary patient interaction is via phone for appointment coordination and follow-up
