Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Cleaning Maintenance Worker to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of our facilities. The ideal candidate will seamlessly blend custodial duties with light building upkeep and repair, ensuring our space is always welcoming and fully functional.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Sanitation
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and scrub floors; polish furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens and common areas, replenishing necessary supplies.
- Empty trash bins, dispose of waste according to protocol, and manage recycling.
Routine Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks, patching drywall, and fixing minor plumbing issues.
- Conduct routine tasks, including replacing lightbulbs and checking safety systems (fire alarms, emergency exits).
- Identify and report major maintenance needs to the facilities or property manager.
Groundskeeping & Safety
- Maintain outdoor areas, which may include collecting exterior trash, sweeping walkways, and performing snow/ice removal during winter.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring workspaces and janitor closets are clean and organized.
- Secure the building by checking doors, windows, and electrical appliances.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a residential and commercial cleaning, janitorial, or general maintenance role.
Pay: $16.58 - $16.88 per hour
