Join our team as an entry-level Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician. You will work alongside a Lead Technician to clean and maintain commercial and industrial kitchen exhaust systems, hoods, equipment, and surrounding areas using manual tools and pressure washing equipment. This physically active, mostly evening or night shifts role ensures commercial and industrial food-service facilities stay safe, clean, and compliant with fire codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with set up and tear down of each job site (protecting floors and equipment, moving mats, setting up ladders, wet/dry vacuums, hoses, plastic sheeting, and pressure washers).
- Support cleaning of kitchen exhaust hoods, duct work, filters, fans, and surrounding surfaces by pre‑scraping grease and operating or assisting with pressure washing under the direction of a lead technician.
- Help clean adjacent kitchen areas (light mopping, wiping stainless steel, disposing of debris) so the kitchen is left neat and ready for use.
- Follow all safety protocols for ladder usage, personal protective equipment (PPE), chemical handling, and safe operation of pressure washing equipment.
- Assist in loading, unloading, organizing, and maintaining tools, pressure washers, hoses, chemicals, and other equipment. Report any damage or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members, representing the company positively on client sites.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Candidate must be at least 21 years old to comply with client site access policies.
- Ability to work mostly evening and night hours, with occasional day or overnight hours (Sunday through Thursday).
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting, climbing (including ladder climbing), bending, and prolonged standing.
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to take direction from lead technicians
