Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and diagnostic evaluations using clinical knowledge of physiology and mental health disorders
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with DEA regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across disciplines to develop personalized care strategies for patients with behavioral health needs
- Provide patient education on mental health conditions, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as TherapyNotes accurate medical documentation, medication orders, and treatment planning
- Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to enhance mental health services and patient safety
- Perform procedures such as suturing or injections when necessary, adhering to sterile techniques and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program with certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Valid state licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with prescriptive authority
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and care coordination
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications, psychopharmacology, CPT coding for billing purposes, and ICD coding for diagnoses (ICD-10)
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in behavioral health settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, or inpatient psychiatric units is highly preferred
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms to provide remote psychiatric consultations and follow-up care

Pay: $105,364.27 - $126,890.30 per year
