Compensation: $20-$30 based on experience
Summary:
We are a full service upfit company offering various types of truck upfits to various industries, and we are looking to recruit and hire the best of the best and provide all employees with a great atmosphere, great pay, and benefits.
We are a custom fabrication shop. Candidate must be self-motivated, have the ability to read tape measure and blueprints, fabricate.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
· Operating shop machines – must have a strong background with fabrication equipment (cutting wheels, band saw, iron worker, milling machine, etc.)
· Creative fabricating and problem solving when necessary
· Consistent quality, accuracy, and reliability on each build
· Read and perform job orders, specifications, schematics, blueprints, and layouts
· Producing a clean and neat finished product
· Must be able to lift cut steel parts
· Experience in working with medium to heavy equipment and diesel vehicles a plus
· Must have your own tools – personal fabrication tools are welcome in the shop
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Four-six years of fabrication experience in manufacturing is a must.
- Welding experience and familiarity with flux core a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of machinery, hydraulic and electrical, as well as other systems and their components.
- Aptitude in using various hand tools and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, diagrams, etc.
- Proven problem-solving ability.
- Adapt with ease to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to frequently lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Must pay attention to detail, be service oriented, and have an excellent work ethic.
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
- Valid driver’s license
