Job Summary
We are seeking friendly people to join our team as a cashier. Successful candidates will enjoy a flexible schedule in a fun environment at a truly one-of-a-kind store. All candidates must have reliable transportation and must be self-starters, willing to jump in and do what needs to be done.
Duties
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately, handling retail sales transactions with speed and precision
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism
- Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end
- Stock shelves and merchandise displays, maintaining an organized and attractive store environment
- Conduct product demos when applicable, helping customers understand features and benefits of items
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking, merchandising, and inventory counts
- Support other team members with cashiering duties during busy periods or when supervising experience is required
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred,.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable but not required.
- Strong communication skills, including retail math proficiency for accurate transactions and change handling
