Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish execution and ingredient selection.
- Handle food with care, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Use knife skills proficiently for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other food preparation tasks.
- Support food handling procedures during meal preparation, ensuring proper storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service, catering to customer needs efficiently and courteously.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to uphold kitchen standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable.
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience demonstrating culinary competence.
- Knowledge of food industry practices including food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques.
- Strong knife skills with the ability to perform meal preparation efficiently.
- Experience in menu planning or catering is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent understanding of food service operations, including serving procedures and customer interaction.
