Job purpose
Award-winning, high-end design-build remodeling firm specializing in large-scale renovations, additions, kitchens, and baths seeks a senior-level Production Manager to lead and optimize its Production Department
At Jackson Design and Remodeling (JDR), The Production Manager has full operational responsibility for the Production Department, including project execution, field operations, scheduling performance, quality control, and team leadership.
Duties and responsibilities
- Work closely with Executive Team regarding projects, issues, and challenges
- Ensure all projects are delivered on schedule and within established production budgets
- Protect company gross margin through schedule oversight and field accountability
- Maintain high client satisfaction ratings across all production projects
- Implement and improve production systems, workflows, and standards
- Oversee Project Managers, Project Coordinators and Field Personnel
- Meet with each team member for 90-day, 6 month, and yearly reviews.
- Interview, Hire, counsel and dismiss personnel as required
- Review project scope and plans to create an accurate preliminary production schedule
- Lead, Mentor, and Coach the production team/ department
- Oversee warehouse operations and all JDR improvements and remodels
- Review Jobs under construction weekly for quality control
- Perform final walk-through quality control inspection on every project to ensure JDR standards are met
- Collaborate with Accounting and Executive Leadership to project monthly and quarterly revenue based on active and upcoming production schedules
- Identify schedule risks that may impact revenue recognition and proactively implement corrective action
- Monitor production capacity and backlog to ensure revenue targets are achievable
- Support team regarding client issues and escalations
- Handle Internal conflicts within and with other departments and know when to pass along to HR
- Serve on the Company Leadership Team as the representative of the Production Department
Qualifications and requirements
- Deep expertise in all phases of high-end residential remodeling including structural renovations, additions, kitchen and bath remodels, and field execution.
- Proven track record of managing multiple Project Managers simultaneously
- Possess the ability to multitask and adapt to changing job conditions.
- Must be able to work under time constraints and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
- Strong understanding of production budgeting and job costing
- Comprehensive organizational skills, time management, oral and written communication skills
- Must be proactive, have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and resourceful as well as possess keen people skills.
- Experience in a design-build environment
- Able to proficiently use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Buildertrend is a plus
- Ability to interpret architectural plans, specifications, and scopes of work
- Strong ability to utilize software programs to organize, implement, and maintain estimates, schedules, and project documents as required
- Work in a team environment
- Have an excellent DMV record.
- 20+ years of residential remodeling experience
- Formal training or certifications in construction management, project management, leadership, or a related discipline are highly desirable.

Working conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This role also requires almost daily visits to active jobsites. While on construction sites, all the normal hazards will prevail including noise, dust, falling objects and any of the other dangers that occur on a construction site. Driving to and from work sites will be required.
Position Type/Expected hours of Work
This is a full-time, Exempt salaried position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some Saturdays as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
