Position Summary
Mesa Management is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Business Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a multifamily apartment community. This role works closely with the Business Manager to ensure operational excellence, resident satisfaction, financial accuracy, and leasing success.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys problem-solving, has experience in property management, and can confidently navigate both resident and employee interactions while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
What You'll DoResident Relations
- Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
- Respond to resident inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with conflict resolution and resident retention efforts
Financial & Administrative Support
- Process invoices and maintain accurate records
- Assist with rent collection and posting transactions
- Support budget preparation and expense tracking
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports
Property Operations
- Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up on work orders
- Monitor property conditions and assist in maintaining community standards
- Support property inspections and vendor coordination
Leasing & Marketing
- Conduct apartment tours and assist prospective residents through the leasing process
- Support occupancy and leasing goals
- Assist with lease renewals and resident retention initiatives
Team Leadership
- Provide support and supervision to Resident Relations staff
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Assist in training and mentoring team members as needed
Community Engagement
- Coordinate and support resident events and community activities
- Promote a positive living experience for residents
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum of 2 years of property management or related experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and confidence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to analyze information and solve problems effectively
Preferred
- College coursework or degree in Business, Property Management, Real Estate, or a related field
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
