The Service Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and residential gate systems, barrier arms, and access control equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to diagnose issues in the field, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain automatic gates, barrier arms, and access control systems
Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electronic components
Troubleshoot electrical systems including low-voltage wiring, control boards, keypads, card readers, and intercom systems
Service operators, hinges, rollers, tracks, and related hardware
Install and program access control systems as needed (keypads, fobs, telephone entry, etc.)
Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations for repairs or replacements
Communicate effectively with customers regarding system issues and solutions
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures
Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory
