Qualifications & Background
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- At least three years of accounts-receivable, billing, collections, revenue-cycle, or related accounting experience; senior-level experience independently managing complex customer or payer accounts is preferred.
- Experience with customer invoicing, cash application, collections, account reconciliation, and aging analysis.
- Ability to interpret detailed account activity and identify the cause of billing or payment discrepancies.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Sage Intacct is preferred.
- Behavioral healthcare, residential treatment, healthcare or insurance billing, education billing, or private-pay services experience is a plus; experience supporting multiple entities, programs, locations, or states is preferred.

About the Role
Moosilauke Visions is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst to support the billing and accounts-receivable operations of the Blue Kite behavioral healthcare programs. This senior individual-contributor role owns assigned billing and collection processes, including accurate invoicing, timely follow-up, detailed account reconciliation, aging analysis, and resolution of complex customer and payer balances. The analyst will support multiple programs operating across multiple states and work closely with private-pay families, insurance payers, program leadership, admissions teams, and the accounting department. The role also supports month-end close, financial reporting, and continuous improvement and documentation of billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned accounts-receivable and billing activity for multiple behavioral healthcare programs.
- Prepare, review, and issue accurate, timely customer invoices after validating census, enrollment, discharge, and billing rate.
- Support billing for private-pay tuition, insurance reimbursement, deposits, credits, refunds, and other client-related charges.
- Maintain accurate customer and payer account records and organized support for invoices, payments, adjustments, refunds, and collection activity.
- Apply and reconcile cash receipts, insurance payments, customer payments, credit memos, refunds, and account adjustments.
- Review accounts-receivable aging reports, actively follow up on outstanding balances, and escalate significant or aging accounts appropriately.
- Communicate professionally with families, insurance companies, and other payers to resolve unpaid or disputed balances; assist with statements and account questions.
- Research underpayments, overpayments, duplicate payments, unapplied cash, credits, billing errors, and other payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile customer subledger activity to the general ledger and resolve identified differences.
- Assist with month-end close, including AR reconciliations, revenue analysis, allowance considerations, and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with admissions, program operations, clinical staff, and accounting personnel to obtain complete billing support.
- Track recurring collection issues and help implement, standardize, improve, and document billing and collection procedures across the five Blue Kite programs.
- Assist with audits and other requests for transaction-level billing and receivable support.
- Perform other accounting and revenue-cycle responsibilities as assigned.
