Minimum qualifications:
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a minimum of 12 ECE units (Child/Human Growth & Development; Child, Family, & Community; Programs & Curriculum)
- 3 semester (4 quarter units) in Infant/Toddler Development coursework is a plus!
- 1+ years of experience in Pre-K, preschool, and/or infant/toddler programs
- Knowledge of or experience with the Reggio Emilia philosophy
Our educators have the ability to:
- Provide nurturing, responsive care for children (ages 3 months - 5 years)
- Support social-emotional development and early learning through play
- Implement emergent curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy
- Collaborate with a teaching team to plan and reflect on classroom experiences
- Build strong partnerships with families and caregivers
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment
- Bring willingness to learn and grow with other members of the school community by participating in staff development opportunities
- Maintain availability during GeoKids Hours of operation 7:30am-6:00pm. Shift schedules (7:30-3:30, 8:30-4:30, 9:30-5:30, 10:00-6:00) are determined on teaching teams and based on classroom and schoolwide operational needs.
