CNC Mill Machinist Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and fabrication, with experience in operating CNC machines and tools. This role is essential in producing high-quality components that meet precise specifications. The CNC Mill Machinist will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Day Shift, Monday through Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines, including milling machines, to fabricate parts according to engineering specifications.
- Set up tooling and fixtures for various machining operations on new and repeat jobs independently.
- Use bore gauges, calipers, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the machining process and communicate with management on issues to find resolutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. (5S)
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Mill Machinist, minimum 3 yrs of setup experience.
- Proficiency in operating milling machines.
- Strong understanding of tooling and fabrication processes.
- Perform periodic inspections to ensure parts are within required tolerances.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledgeable and able to operate Haas or Fanuc controls.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
