Duties
- Prepare and bake various pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with creativity and attention to detail to enhance visual appeal.
- Package finished products for sale or distribution, ensuring they are presented attractively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping, mixing, and measuring ingredients.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in food production and catering events.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Skills
- Proficient in cake decorating techniques and presentation skills.
- Experience in food production processes within a kitchen environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, including knowledge of culinary techniques.
- Previous pastry experience is highly desirable for this role.
- Excellent cooking skills with a focus on baking methods.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Prior kitchen experience within the food industry or culinary settings is preferred.
