Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Flatbed/Hotshot Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of vehicles including One-Ton Pick up trucks with Gooseneck trailer 40' attached for deliveries.
- Watch closely shipper load and receiver unload cargo, meanwhile ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including fuel receipts and Bill of Lading (BOLs).
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations while on the road.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred; experience with Tractor-Trailer combo is a plus.
- Proven experience as a truck driver in a similar role such as Hotshot etc.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations pertaining to commercial driving.
- Ability to lift heavy (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo esp tarping, chains etc.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and dispatchers.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to follow schedules strictly.
- Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
