A growing electrical construction and engineering contractor is seeking an ambitious Electrical Project Manager to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys both the technical and commercial side of electrical construction. The successful Electrical Project Manager will be involved in estimating, project management, customer development, and overseeing projects from bid stage through completion.
The Role
Generate new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing customers
Prepare competitive bids, estimates, and proposals for electrical construction projects
Review project plans, specifications, and electrical drawings to ensure bid compliance
Perform quantity take-offs and develop accurate project estimates
Solicit and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
Manage multiple electrical construction projects from award through completion
Coordinate material procurement and project buyouts
Review contracts and ensure project compliance requirements are met
Manage project budgets, expenditures, and change orders
Create and process:
- RFIs
- Submittals
- Change Orders
- Billings
- Closeout Documentation
Support field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution
Conduct site visits to review progress, safety, and quality standards
About You
- Previous experience in Electrical Estimating, Project Management, or Electrical Construction
- Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Comfortable interacting with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2–5 years of experience within the electrical construction industry
- Knowledge of construction accounting principles
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with electrical estimating software
- Professional Engineering (PE) or EIT certification
