Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Residential Roofing Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, and repair residential roofing systems, helping homeowners protect their most valuable investment. The ideal candidate has hands-on roofing experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Inspect residential roofs to identify leaks, storm damage, wear, and other roofing issues.
- Diagnose roofing problems and determine the most effective repair solutions.
- Repair or replace damaged shingles, tiles, metal panels, flashing, gutters, and ventilation components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and service work on residential roofing systems.
- Document inspections, repairs, materials used, and completed work using company software and mobile applications.
- Take before-and-after photos of repair projects.
- Communicate repair recommendations and project updates to homeowners in a professional manner.
- Prepare and present repair estimates to customers.
- Secure signed agreements and coordinate approved repair work.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential roofing repair required.
- Working knowledge of asphalt shingle, metal, and tile roofing systems.
- Understanding of roofing construction, waterproofing methods, and local building codes.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex roof leak issues.
- Proficiency with roofing tools, equipment, and materials.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at heights and on steep roof surfaces.
- Ability to lift and carry roofing materials and equipment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
