Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or food pairings to enhance their experience.
- Manage bar inventory, including stock levels of spirits, mixers, garnishes, and glassware; place orders as needed to maintain optimal stock.
- Operate POS systems - Experience with Toast is a plus.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute creative ideas to enhance our drink menu offerings.
- Handle cash handling responsibilities efficiently while providing excellent customer service during busy hours.
- Uphold hospitality industry standards by delivering friendly, prompt service that encourages repeat visits.
Requirements
- AT LEAST 2 YEARS - Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining and/or high-volume environments.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, craft beers, mixology techniques, and beverage recipe development.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Must have previous food service experience.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately using retail math skills; basic math proficiency is essential.
- Hospitality industry experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with food industry operations such as serving, cashiering, or food safety protocols is highly desirable.
- MUST hold a current food safety handler's certification as well as Responsible Beverage Service certification.
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend and all other bodily movements behind a bar repeatedly.
Pay: From $16.90 per hour
