American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center position requiring TNCC, ACLS, PALS, and a minimum of 2 years of ER experience.

Emergency Department setting at a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department
-
Patient population includes trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergency cases
-
Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6, with the potential to reach 1:8 during high-volume periods and holidays

Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)

Weekend requirement: 3 weekends (Fri–Sun) per 4-week schedule, with 1–3 days worked per weekend

Floating to Pediatric Emergency Department is possible

No on-call requirements
-
Epic EMR used; training provided during orientation
-
Active MI RN license required (compact licenses are not accepted; must be active by start date)

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA preferred), PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale — all must be active and not pending at contract start

ENPC certification preferred

Minimum 2 years of ER experience required

Level I Trauma Center experience required

Epic EMR experience preferred

Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management required

2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Responsibilities include emergency nursing care across a high-acuity, multi-specialty emergency department including trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric cases

Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration is preferred

Triage experience is preferred

Pre-start orientation modules are required and completed prior to the contract start date

First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position

Former core staff members must wait 12 months before returning; eligibility should be verified prior to consideration

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
-
RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no additional RTO will be approved after submission, and no RTO is permitted during the month of July
