Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Kitchen Prep/Line Cook to join our vibrant team at our sister restaurant locations located only 200 yards apart. Ones is Diversion Pizza, the other is Diversion Asian. Both restaurants are overseen by a Culinary Institute of America trained chef with 35+ years in the business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of culinary creation, ensuring that each dish is prepared with precision, passion, and care. As a key player in our kitchen, you will help deliver exceptional dining experiences by preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Your energy and culinary skills will contribute directly to the success of our restaurants and delight our guests every day.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Cook a variety of dishes with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency
- Maintain food safety standards by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting seasonal or innovative dish ideas based on ingredient availability
- Support kitchen operations during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with dietary guidelines and customer preferences
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies throughout shifts
Experience
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service within a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Skilled in knife techniques, meal preparation, and food industry standards
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering processes, and food service operations
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a culinary team while maintaining high standards of quality
