Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Technician to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within our facility. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, hygienic, and compliant environment, particularly in food production, manufacturing, and warehouse settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services, with the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate cleaning equipment efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean and safe workplace while supporting operational excellence.
Hours: 8:00 pm – 4:30 am
Responsibilities
- Facility Cleaning: Clean and sanitize all areas of the plant, including production floors, walls, drains, hand wash sinks, restrooms, breakroom, offices, and common areas, according to the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
- Equipment Cleaning: Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble production machinery and equipment using approved chemicals and methods.
- Chemical Handling: Safely handle, mix, and use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers in accordance with company safety guidelines and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Accurately complete and maintain sanitation logs, checklists, and other required paperwork to ensure audit readiness and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all plant and department safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Where required, and report any potential food safety or safety concerns to management.
- Waste Management: Collect, remove, and dispose of production waste, garbage, and recyclables from production areas, restrooms, breakroom, offices, and facility grounds.
- Inspections and Testing: Assist with pre-operational inspections and address any findings by the QA Technician.
- Equipment Operation: Operate various cleaning equipment, which may include pressure washers, foamers, floor scrubbers, and powered industrial trucks (PIT) like forklifts (if certified).
- Production Assistance: Assist on the production line as needed to finish 2nd shift production schedule. Other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and procedures.
- Basic mechanical skills to disassemble and reassemble equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills (ability to read and write in English is preferred.).
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)
- Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing for long periods, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds safely.
- Comfortable working in a plant environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and wet and humid conditions.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
