Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. As a key player in our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes. Your role will involve delivering goods efficiently while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies
- Drive a 10 speed manual transmission
- Deliver freight to multiple destinations along assigned routes, adhering to scheduled delivery times and route plans
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with dry-van trailer types.
- Experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and securing cargo for safe transport
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and transportation industry standards
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and customer service
- 2 year driving experience minimum.
- No CDL restrictions.
