Overview
Gold Oak Remodeling is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Representative to help expand our residential remodeling and light-commercial construction business throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
In this role, you will build relationships with real estate agents, property managers, investors, interior designers, commercial brokers, business owners, and other referral partners who regularly need a reliable remodeling and general contracting company.
This is not simply a flyer-distribution position. You will be responsible for identifying qualified opportunities, scheduling meetings, developing referral partnerships, following up with prospective clients, and helping move opportunities from initial introduction to signed project.
The ideal candidate is confident speaking with business owners and industry professionals, organized with follow-up, and motivated by measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Identify and contact potential referral partners, including real estate agencies, property-management companies, investors, designers, commercial brokers, and local businesses.
- Conduct outreach through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, networking events, office visits, and in-person introductions.
- Schedule meetings with decision-makers and present Gold Oak Remodeling’s services, capabilities, and value.
- Develop long-term referral relationships that generate residential remodeling and light-commercial construction opportunities.
- Qualify potential projects based on location, scope, budget, timeline, and fit with the company’s services.
- Coordinate qualified leads and project information with the estimating and operations team.
- Follow up consistently with prospective clients, referral partners, and previously submitted estimates.
- Maintain accurate records of contacts, conversations, opportunities, follow-up dates, and pipeline activity in the company CRM.
- Attend local real estate, property-management, investor, chamber, and business-networking events.
- Assist with partnership campaigns, presentations, leave-behind materials, email outreach, and local marketing initiatives.
- Track outreach activity, appointments, estimates generated, signed contracts, and revenue produced.
- Represent Gold Oak Remodeling professionally and communicate clearly throughout every interaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in business development, outside sales, account management, construction sales, real estate, property management, or a related field.
- Strong prospecting, networking, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable visiting businesses and introducing the company to new potential partners.
- Ability to speak confidently with homeowners, agents, investors, property managers, designers, and business owners.
- Experience using CRM software, spreadsheets, email, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to understand client needs and clearly communicate the value of remodeling and construction services.
- Comfortable working independently while staying accountable to performance goals.
- Knowledge of the Dallas–Fort Worth real estate or construction market is a plus.
- Existing relationships with real estate professionals, property managers, investors, designers, or commercial brokers are highly valued.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local meetings and outreach.
