We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our facilities. Your expertise will ensure that all building systems operate smoothly, supporting our production environment and overall operational success. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about facilities maintenance, mechanical systems, and hands-on problem-solving. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, and other diagnostic tools
- Conduct welding tasks and mechanical repairs to support manufacturing operations
- Manage facilities maintenance requests efficiently
- Oversee building projects and general upkeep of the facility’s interior and exterior spaces
- Assist maintenance staff or contractors as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed to standard
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical drawings to facilitate repairs and upgrades
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building repair roles within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting with schematics and Ohmmeters
- Mechanical knowledge with skills in welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general repairs
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in automated systems
- Supervising experience or leadership skills in managing maintenance teams or projects
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Customer service mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
