Warehouse Associate – 1st Shift

Pay: 15.00 to $17.50 per hour (Paid Weekly)

Job Summary
AtWork Personnel is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate for a busy warehouse in Decatur, AL. This position is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Accurately label, sort, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Load and unload trucks manually or using warehouse equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock replenishment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely (forklift experience is a plus).
- Ensure orders are completed accurately and meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required.
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and physical tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
