Job Summary
The Experiential Education Coordinator II is responsible for the development and maintenance of experiential education placements consistent with course requirements and educational outcomes for all pharmacy practice experiences within the Fisch College of Pharmacy. The Experiential Education Coordinator also prioritizes, and coordinates documentation submissions, site visits, and requirements associated with experiential sites and placements. Possibility of some after-hours, or weekends for various University events. Travel may also be needed for workshops and site visits.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks

Coordinate availability of sites and preceptors.

Schedule all Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) and Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE).

Maintain adequate capacity and availability of experiential sites and preceptors.

Initiate, process, follow up on, and maintain affiliation agreements related to experiential sites.

Triage inquiries from students, faculty, preceptors and potential preceptors and sites.
-
Facilitate documentation submissions from preceptors, students, and sites.
-
Ensure preceptors meet standards and qualifications required by state, FCOP, and accreditation agencies and boards.

Recruit new experiential sites and preceptors to support experiential education capacity.
-
Assist with quality assurance monitoring and reporting.

Confirm that students meet site-specific requirements and submit all needed documentation for experiential placements.

Coordinate and complete all onboarding documentation as required by experiential sites.

Serve as the primary correspondent for experiential sites and preceptors.

Assist with conducting site visits, which may require travel.
-
Prepare and maintain all documentation related to site visits.
-
Efficiently create and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and records.

Support the accreditation processes and related reporting requirements as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
-
Three (3) years of related work experience.
-
May accept a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
-
Master’s degree in related field.
-
Experience with CORE ELMS or similar electronic learning management systems.
-
Two (2) years of experience within the University of Texas System and/or another four-year Texas college or university.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
