Job Summary
We are seeking a positive, friendly Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional service to our hotel guests. The Front Desk Agent will assist guests with the check-in and check-out processes, issue room keys, and process payments. Responsibilities also include maintaining communication with housekeeping staff to coordinate room availability, answering guest inquiries, and completing paperwork promptly and accurately. The Front Desk Agent must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to stay positive even when faced with challenging situations. Your goal is to provide guests with an exceptional customer service experience. Agents will act as manager on duty and must maintain the hotel presentation in absence of housekeeping, maintenance as needed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor/maintain hotel operations and activities
- Take reservations and answer questions via phone, email, and in-person
- Assist with guest requests and provide local expertise when asked for recommendations
- Build rapport with guests and identify their needs through friendly conversation and open-ended questions
- Describe the features and amenities of guest rooms
- Ensure compliance with health and quality standards
- Ensure the cleanliness and quality of the property
- Deliver top tier customer service and quick complete responses to guests
- Make, cancel, modify reservations, work with third party vendors, and communicate and apply any fees/charges to these modifications
- Ensure accurate billing of room charges
- Take ownership and work as a team
Qualifications
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards
- Proficient in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Computer literacy
- Able to resolve issues with a customer-focused orientation
- Able to lift 30 pounds
- Able to stand and assist guests during transactions
