Duties
- Deliver comprehensive classroom instruction on a wide range of cosmetology topics, including hair styling, coloring, nail care, esthetic laser treatments, facial techniques, makeup application, barbering, and body waxing.
- Develop and implement detailed lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and industry best practices.
- Demonstrate advanced techniques such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, dermabrasion, trigger point therapy, and aesthetic treatments to enhance student learning.
- Provide hands-on training in practical skills like hair care, hair removal, facial procedures, nail care, and class-specific projects.
- Evaluate student progress through assessments, practical demonstrations, and feedback sessions to ensure mastery of skills.
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity and professional development.
- Stay current with industry trends and certifications to continuously enrich course content and instructional methods.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a licensed cosmetologist with expertise in multiple disciplines including hair styling, coloring, esthetic laser treatments, nail care, and advanced aesthetic procedures.
- Strong classroom experience with the ability to teach adult learners effectively through engaging lesson planning and interactive instruction.
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology practices such as trigger point therapy and dermabrasion techniques.
- Demonstrated proficiency in delivering training on specialized services like eyelash extensions, hair extensions, facial treatments, body waxing, barbering, and facials.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment.
- Relevant certifications or licenses required by state or local regulations for teaching cosmetology or aesthetic treatments.
- Passion for mentoring aspiring professionals and staying current with evolving beauty industry standards.
