American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist with vascular, thoracic, open heart, and endovascular case experience for a community hospital surgical services department.

Community hospital surgical services department with 13 operating rooms

CVOR and General OR work settings
-
4x10-hour day shifts (7a-5p) or 5x8-hour day shifts (7a-3p)
-
On-call requirement of 3 call shifts per week, including weekend call every other weekend

Floating between service lines required, no floating to sister facilities

Epic charting system preferred
-
Minimum of 1 year of well-rounded surgical technology experience required

BLS certification from AHA required
-
NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)

Required case experience in vascular, thoracic, open heart, and endovascular procedures
-
Preferred experience in robotic general surgery, robotic urology, robotic GYN, neurosurgery, and orthopedics/spine including total joints

Radiation badge required and must be provided by the traveler/agency

License required if applicable

Driver's license required for consideration

First-time travelers accepted for this position

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted

Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, as approval is based on facility needs
-
During hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
-
Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2-week period
