National Sales & Marketing Manager – Promotional Products
Position Summary
The National Sales Manager of Galaxy Balloons, Inc. maintains a direct connection with national sales key accounts is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and leading marketing initiatives for the company's promotional products division. This position develops and executes national sales strategies, manages key customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and oversees marketing campaigns designed to increase brand awareness and customer engagement. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with experience in the promotional products industry and a passion for helping clients enhance their brands through customized merchandise and marketing solutions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Business Development
- Develop and execute national sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for a manufacturing corporation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, key accounts, and strategic partners.
- Lead prospecting efforts through networking, referrals, trade shows, and targeted outreach.
- Manage and grow existing key customer accounts while identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers, purchasing managers, and marketing teams.
- Monitor sales performance of your team metrics and implement strategies to improve results and provide those numbers to executive team for meetings.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Develop and implement sales campaigns to promote promotional products, branded merchandise, apparel, and corporate gifting programs.
- Oversee all marketing team for strategic marketing and development and growth.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to develop product promotions, catalogs, and seasonal campaigns.
- Create and manage content that showcases product trends, success stories, and customer solutions.
- Coordinate trade show participation, customer appreciation events, and industry networking opportunities.
- Ensure consistent company branding across all customer-facing materials and platforms.
Industry & Product Expertise
- Stay current on promotional product trends, supplier offerings, decoration methods, and industry best practices.
- Identify emerging product categories and market opportunities.
- Work closely with suppliers to source innovative products that meet customer needs and budget requirements.
- Understand imprint methods including screen printing, laser engraving, heat transfer, and digital printing.
- Provide guidance to customers on product selection, branding strategies, and campaign effectiveness.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary contact for national accounts and high-value customers.
- Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from concept development through order fulfillment and your team.
- Resolve customer concerns and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order completion.
- Conduct regular customer reviews to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Develop annual sales forecasts, budgets, and growth plans.
- Analyze sales data, customer trends, and market conditions to support decision-making.
- Track sales ROI and campaign effectiveness using established KPIs.
- Provide regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Communications, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably within the promotional products, branded merchandise, apparel, advertising specialty, or print industries.
- Demonstrated success in business development and account growth.
- Experience managing national accounts and multi-state territories.
- Knowledge of promotional product suppliers, sourcing, pricing, and production processes preferred.
- Experience with CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Industry Experience
Experience with promotional products, branded merchandise, decorated apparel, advertising specialties, corporate gifting, trade show marketing, or membership in organizations such as the Promotional Products Association International or Advertising Specialty Institute is highly desirable.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
