The Crump Group Inc. is a family-owned and operated premium pet treat manufacturer. Started in 2006, we have successfully established 3 market leading brands (Caledon Farms, Crumps Naturals and Dog Delights) distributed throughout Canada and the United States. We are seeking a dynamic, results oriented Logistics Coordinator.
Position Summary
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end coordination, execution, and documentation of all inbound and outbound freight movements for the warehouse. This role serves as the primary point of control for truck scheduling, carrier coordination, and shipping/receiving documentation for shipments moving to and from third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and direct customers. The position requires close daily alignment with Customer Service, Logistics, and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant shipment execution. This role owns all inbound and outbound truck activity and ensures that all paperwork, system transactions, and physical movements are properly completed and documented.
Key Responsibilities Inbound & Outbound Transportation Coordination
Schedule and coordinate all inbound and outbound trucks for the warehouse, including shipments to 3PL partners and direct customer deliveries. Communicate daily with carriers, brokers, and internal logistics contacts to confirm pickup and delivery appointments. Monitor truck arrivals and departures to ensure adherence to scheduled dock times and minimize detention or delays. Serve as the single point of accountability for all trucks entering or leaving the facility. Cross-Functional Alignment Work closely with Customer Service to align shipments with sales orders, customer requirements, and delivery commitments. Coordinate with Logistics and Warehouse Operations to ensure product availability, dock readiness, and labor alignment. Escalate issues related to delays, shortages, damage, or documentation discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Shipping & Receiving Documentation Prepare, review, and distribute all outbound shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, sales orders, pallet labels, and customer-specific documentation. Receive and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders, item receipts, packing slips, and carrier documentation. Ensure all receiving transactions are accurately recorded in the system at the time of receipt. Maintain organized, auditable records for all inbound and outbound shipments. Inventory & System Transactions Enter and verify shipping and receiving transactions in the warehouse management or ERP system. Ensure quantities, lot numbers, weights, and item details match physical product and paperwork.
Compliance & Accuracy Ensure all shipments comply with company procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. Confirm that documentation is complete, accurate, and properly retained. Support audit readiness related to shipping, receiving, and inventory traceability.
Continuous Improvement & Support Identify recurring issues related to carriers, scheduling, documentation, or dock flow and recommend improvements. Support process standardization and visual management efforts within the warehouse. Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and logistics operations.
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or logistics certification preferred. 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse coordination, or logistics operations. Working knowledge of Bills of Lading, packing slips, sales orders, and receiving documentation. Experience coordinating carriers, truck schedules, and dock activity. Proficiency with ERP or warehouse management systems and basic computer applications (Excel, email, document management).

Clear and professional communication skills across departments and with external carriers. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate issues appropriately. Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work in a warehouse setting with exposure to forklifts, trucks, and dock operations. Ability to walk docks, verify loads, and inspect inbound/outbound shipments as required. Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer throughout the workday.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
