Summary
JANA Engineering is growing and seeking an experienced Purchasing/Materials Professional to support all purchasing and materials-related aspects of our Technical Design and Manufacturing Operations. A deep understanding of MRP/ERP is essential.
This is a professional position well suited for a mature, responsible and serious individual. A college degree or equivalent life experience is required. Our working environment is fast-paced, technical, interdependent and collegial. High potential for advancement for the right candidate.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience
1. Interpersonal Communication Skills
2. ERP/MRP Systems
3. Proficiency with Excel Spreadsheets
4. Aerospace components, electronic connectors and mil-spec wire and cable
5. Fabrication and Sheet Metal parts
6. Supplier Evaluation, Audits and Approval Process
7. Research price and availability for specified parts
8. Technical aptitude to Research alternates
9. Engineering BOMs, Specs, Requirements Documents
10. Stockroom Processes, Inventory transactions,
11. Receiving Inspection and lot traceability
General Duties
A. Source complex parts lists to support proposal activity
B. Purchase parts according to MRP demand and requisitions
C. Facilitate Supplier Approval by survey or audit
D. Manage Supplier Quality issues requesting remedy including return, replacement and corrective/preventive action requests
E. Maintain Approved Supplier List to ensure suppliers’ qualification remain current.
F. Negotiate pricing and delivery with qualified and new suppliers to ensure best case buys for price and required delivery
G. Support Engineering with research to identify best options to defined requirements
H. Provide analysis of buy options for complex projections and logistical planning
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
