Please do not apply unless you can pass and have a cleared Florida Level 2 background screening through APD. Applicants whose screening is pending, expired, or not associated with APD cannot be considered for these immediate client assignments.
Hope Illuminated, a nurse-owned agency serving individuals with developmental disabilities in Pinellas County, is hiring dependable and compassionate Personal Support Workers / Direct Support Professionals for current client assignments.
This is one-on-one support provided in the client’s home and community. Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting daily routines and personal goals
- Providing supervision and companionship
- Teaching or reinforcing independent living skills
- Assisting with community activities and outings
- Promoting safety, dignity, choice, and independence
We are seeking caregivers who are reliable, patient, professional, and interested in meaningful, long-term work.
Minimum Requirement
Florida Level 2 APD background screening required
Responsibilities May Include
- Supporting daily routines and personal goals
- Providing supervision and companionship
- Assisting with community outings and activities
- Encouraging independence and life skills
- Following the client’s support plan
- Completing basic documentation
- Communicating concerns promptly with agency leadership
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a Level 2 AHCA background screening
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Must be dependable, patient, and professional
- Experience with autism, developmental disabilities, APD services, caregiving, behavioral health, or direct support is preferred but not required.
