Liqui-Chem is a locally rooted lawn and shrub care company with over 40 years of experience serving our community. We provide professional fertilization, weed control, insect and disease management to residential and commercial clients. We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated technician to join our small, tight-knit team and deliver top-quality service on an established route.
What You’ll Do
Service & Application
- Provide outstanding service to an assigned route by applying fertilizers, herbicides, and other pesticides to lawns and shrubs. Duties include mixing chemicals, pulling and managing up to 400 ft. of spray hose, lifting up to 50 lbs., and washing and maintaining equipment. Accurate recordkeeping is required. Technicians are expected to maintain consistent productivity and meet or exceed route quotas — our small team depends on every member pulling their weight.
Lawn Assessment & Expertise
- Go beyond application — continuously evaluate the condition, health, appearance, and needs of every lawn you service. Our customers view their Liqui-Chem technician as their trusted lawn care expert. You are expected to carry that attitude on every visit, treat every lawn as if it were your own, and proactively identify and communicate issues or opportunities to the customer.
Sales
- Follow up on company-provided leads and identify new prospects while on route. Sales are conducted through on-site lawn evaluations, giving potential customers an honest assessment of what our services can and cannot deliver. Meet or exceed service and sales quotas.
Customer Relations
- Always represent Liqui-Chem professionally — whether on your own route or covering for a teammate. Maintain a neat uniform appearance, call customers the day before scheduled visits when requested, and return all customer calls the same day. Handle questions and concerns with courtesy, honesty, and product knowledge. The standard of professionalism does not change based on whose route you are running.
Teamwork & Reliability
- This is a small team where every person matters. Technicians take pride in their work and in supporting one another — that may include covering a colleague’s route when needed. Reliability is non-negotiable. When someone doesn’t show up or falls behind, it affects the entire team and our customers. We succeed together.
