The purpose of the Campus Ministry Director is to provide spiritual and administrative leadership to First On Campus, a United Methodist ministry, which operates out of Brookings First UMC and serves students, faculty and staff of South Dakota State University.
Position is Part Time: 10 hours per week. Starting Pay dependent upon experience and qualifications; reports to Lead Pastor.
Candidate must:
1. Uphold the mission and ministry of the United Methodist Church, to “make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” It will be essential to provide spiritual support, leadership and guidance to SDSU students, faculty and staff, including but not limited to United Methodists. We also look forward to ways the candidate can continue to foster connections between First On Campus and the congregation of Brookings First UMC through worship, service, fellowship and mission.
Qualifications:
1. Spiritual maturity as evidenced by demonstrating the Fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in Christian community.
2. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
3. Strong organizational skills.
4. Demonstrated leadership capability.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including social media and computer proficiency.
