Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing developmentally-appropriate curricula, engaging with students, and collaborating with parents to support each child's growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote early childhood education and align with developmental milestones.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Observe and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and progress.
- Foster social skills through group activities and collaborative play.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting lessons and providing additional assistance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
Qualifications
- Experience working with infants in an educational or caregiving setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Experience working with students with disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their growth.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
