About the Role
We are an independent, Arizona-based long term care pharmacy seeking a field-based Medication Technician to serve as our on-site liaison at skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and hospice organizations across the state.
This is a relationship-first role. You will be the face of our pharmacy to nurses, administrators, and resident care staff — conducting medication cart audits, verifying cycle fill accuracy, coordinating MAR reconciliation, and ensuring our clients experience best-in-class service on every visit.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct scheduled and unannounced medication cart audits at assigned facilities
- Identify expired, discontinued, or mislabeled medications and coordinate resolution
- Compare dispensed medications against facility MARs; escalate discrepancies immediately
- Verify monthly cycle fill accuracy and communicate gaps to the dispensing team
- Build trusted relationships with Directors of Nursing, charge nurses, and facility administrators
- Document all findings and submit audit reports within 24 hours of each visit

Required:
- Active Arizona CNA license; or experience as a Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) in a long term care setting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a long term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living setting
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Strong communication and customer service skills with healthcare professionals
Preferred:
- Prior experience with medication cart auditing or pharmacy field services
- Familiarity with electronic MAR platforms (PointClickCare, MatrixCare, or similar)
- Knowledge of medication packaging formats: blister packs, unit-dose pouches, vials
