Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance using auto estimating tools and technical knowledge
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, and transmission services to enhance vehicle performance
- Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
- Manage cash handling transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Maintain thorough records of all service orders, repair details, and customer interactions in dealership management systems
- Promote automotive repair services by educating customers on vehicle maintenance best practices and available offerings
Requirements
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service writer within a dealership or automotive repair shop
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, auto body repair, air brake systems, wheel alignments, and tire services
- Hands-on experience with automotive estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential
- Knowledge of various automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, shocks & struts, brake systems, diesel engines, suspension components, and auto electrical systems
- Sales-oriented mindset with a passion for automobiles and helping customers keep their vehicles in top condition
