American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience, AHA certifications, and a valid OK or compact RN license.

Pediatric ICU setting within a hospital environment

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

CVICU and NICU experience is preferred

Level 1 trauma experience is required

13-week contract

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA certifications only accepted

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Level 1 experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Provides nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex

Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting physiological patient data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Communicates care plans and hospital procedures with patients and families, including at discharge

Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates referrals to appropriate personnel as needed

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (extensions are limited to one, for a maximum of 26 total weeks)
