FOOD PREPARATION OPENER
Reports to manager on duty
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for daily food preparation, labeling, product rotation, food safety and managing inventory effectively and efficiently
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrate sanitation and food safety practices consistently
- Maintain proper food prep levels for expected daily sales and rotate product to ensure freshness and food safety
as directed by manager on duty
- Follow company safety standards at all times
- Coordinates job duties around other opening team members to ensure efficient preparation for opening
- Rotate stock in cooler, freezer, and dry storage area using the First-In-First-Out method while monitoring shelf
life and code dates
- Take temperatures of required foods and document as required
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly jobs timely and accurately
- Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain a sense of urgency while working independently and with a team
- Attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Able to pass ServSafe food safety course
- Available to reliably work early mornings as scheduled
- Able to read, write and record information for product rotation and food temps

job:
- Move items weighing up to 50 pounds for various needs
- Able to reach, bend, push, pull and/or stretch body to grab or move items
- Able to use various kitchen equipment and tools

Frequent exposure to cold temperatures from coolers and freezers, as well as heat from cooking equipment
- Able to see, read, and comprehend a variety of written or displayed media
